The Central Virginia Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia Association supports the patient, medical, and general communities in all areas of concern related to chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, and related disorders.  We strive to inform and encourage those in Central Virginia who are affected by these mysterious and often devastating illnesses. 

Mission

Our mission is to educate, advocate for, and encourage persons affected by chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia and related disorders. 

Goals

·         To educate and support patients, family members and caregivers. 

    

·         To inform physicians and other medical professionals about the nature and impact of these illnesses, and support their efforts to provide the best possible treatment.

    

·         To provide a forum for dialogue in the patient and medical communities about research, diagnosis and treatment.

 

·         To increase public awareness and research funding, and promote improved public policy regarding the medical, social, psychological and financial problems of those affected by these illnesses.
